　食って、店から出るとき、メニュー表をもう一度見た。そこには「中盛り」という表記があった。

　俺はそれを見落としていた。中盛りがある店の大盛りはたいていおかしい。これは、見落とした俺の側の責任だろう。それは経営者からの隠れたメッセージだ。２段階の盛りがある以上、そこにはなにかがある。察しろ、ということだ。
